International flights: 100ml and a 1-liter clear bag
- Liquids carried on board (including gels and sprays) must be in containers of 100ml or less each. A container over 100ml cannot be carried even if it is only part-filled
- Place the containers in a transparent re-sealable plastic bag with a capacity not exceeding 1 liter (a total length and breadth within approximately 40cm, e.g. 20cm x 20cm). Only one bag per passenger
- Medicines and special dietary foods are exempt in the amount needed on board. Baby milk and baby food are exempt only when travelling with an infant. Declare them at security screening
- These rules do not apply to checked baggage
- Alcohol etc. bought at duty-free shops after security can be carried on board, but it may be confiscated under the rules of a country where you transfer

On international flights, household sprays such as waterproofing sprays cannot be carried on board; checked baggage only (MLIT's list of liquids). Rules of other countries' authorities may also apply. On return flights, follow the rules of that country's airport.
